ReBranding of Blake Street Shops
After many weeks of observation, it became evident that the original nomenclature “Blake Street Studios” was preventing customers to shop. Because the word shop is a verb, it is also a call to action. While all the shops had to conform to handcrafted goodness, not all shopkeeps used their space to craft the work (as some work was imported). Converting the arcade name to include Blake Street Shops & Studios promoted curiousity and delight among customer who sought out to support small business.
The logo came from the need to brand the arcade of shops. Because Raleigh is known as the City of Oaks and the arcade was an incubator for small business, an acorn was the perfect icon to represent growing and nurturing business.
